The Inspiration
TEFNUT'S draws inspiration from the cosmology, symbolism, and visual language of ancient Egypt.
This civilization carried a deep understanding of the relationship between nature, the cosmos, and human consciousness. Its art and symbols were never created purely for decoration. They expressed ideas about harmony, balance, and the sacred nature of existence.
At the center of this inspiration is Tefnut, a Primordial Goddess of Egyptian cosmology.
Tefnut represents the wholeness of the feminine essence. In the myth she could shape shift from a Cat to a Lioness. From a soft expression to a feral beast. This powerful primordial Goddess comes back to life now in a pivotal time, when feminine energy is needed at its integral essence.
The name TEFNUT’S honors this primordial feminine principle. It reflects an energy that embodies both tenderness and strength, revealing the true essence of feminine power.

About our founder
TEFNUT'S is a accessories brand founded by Briane Andreis, originally from Porto Alegre in southern Brazil and currently based in Cairo.
Her connection with Egypt began at an early age. When she was eleven years old, she encountered images of the ancient Egyptian temples in a history book for the first time. The encounter left a lasting impression and sparked a fascination that would remain with her for many years.
Although she did not initially pursue formal studies in Egyptology in Cairo, Briane continued to explore Egyptian cosmology independently. Alongside her academic path in marketing and business management, she dedicated herself to studying the symbolism, philosophy, and mythology of this ancient civilization.
At the same time, another passion was already present in her life.
From childhood, she was deeply drawn to fashion, accessories, and personal adornment. Some of her earliest memories involve spending hours exploring the contents of her mother’s closet, trying on accessories and discovering how objects could transform a look and express identity.
These moments would quietly shape her creative sensibility.
At the age of twelve she created her first small accessories project, designing and customizing bracelets for her classmates and spending afternoons crafting the pieces at home.
Life later led her across different parts of the world. After the passing of her mother, Briane left Brazil and began a new chapter abroad. She first moved to Los Angeles to study cinema and later settled in Portugal, where she founded her first accessories brand.
Throughout these years, her fascination with Egypt never disappeared.
In 2021, Briane traveled to Egypt for the first time. Standing before the ancient temples she had first seen in a childhood book, she experienced a profound sense of recognition. What had lived for years in imagination suddenly became real.
That journey marked a turning point. It became a calling she could no longer ignore.
It was during this moment that the vision for TEFNUT’S began to take shape.
